Type 1 Diabetes Research Voluntary Tax Contribution Fund

In 2017, California added Type 1 Diabetes to funds available through the California Tax Check-off  Voluntary Tax Contributions. Donations to the Type 1 Diabetes Research Voluntary Tax Contribution Fund (T1DR VTC) support research to advance the understanding, techniques and modalities effective in the screening, treatment and cure of type 1 diabetes. The fund is closed but this page provides information on the research funded.

The T1DR VTC fund is administered by the Research Grants Program Office at the UC Office of the President. By law, the T1DR VTC funds are administered for less than five percent of the annual donations.
