Higher Education Act Section 117 Foreign Source Reporting
Section 117 of the Higher Education Act (HEA) of 1965 requires higher education institutions that receive Title IV federal student aid to submit reports to the US Department of Education about gifts received from any foreign source, contracts with a foreign source, and any ownership interest in, or control over the institution by a foreign source.
On May 15, 2024, RPAC issued updated guidance to the University community about the HEA 117 reporting requirement.
