UC Controller

As part of the University of California, Office of the President Systemwide Controller’s office, the Benefits Accounting team, in collaboration with the Retirement Administration Service Center, Systemwide Human Resources Total Rewards, Benefits Information Systems, UCPath, Tax Compliance, Legal and other units or outside consultants, manages the financial accounting for the University of California Retirement System (UCRS), including University of California Retirement Plan (UCRP), UC Voluntary Early Retirement Incentive Program (VERIP), and UC Retirement Savings Plan (UCRSP), the Health and Welfare Program, and the UC Retiree Health Benefit Trust. 

The team ensures compliance with financial regulations, supports operational and financial reporting needs, and provides technical accounting guidance. We provide comprehensive client services to campuses, medical centers, UCRS, the Health and Welfare Program, the UCRP, and other benefit programs.
