Student Video Contest - Directing Change

UC teamed up with Directing Change for the 2014 Student Video Contest. The contest is part of statewide efforts to prevent suicide, reduce stigma and discrimination related to mental illness, and to promote the mental health and wellness of students. Our students were encouraged to create 60 second public service announcements in one of two categories, Suicide Prevention and Ending the Silence on Mental Illness. Students were responsible for researching the topic and adhering to best practices in media depictions of mental health. We were impressed by the student response to this competition with over 32 submissions during our first year of participation!
