Description
Microsoft 365 Copilot is an AI-powered assistant designed to streamline your workflow and increase productivity. It integrates seamlessly with Microsoft’s suite of products, delivering intelligent suggestions, context-based insights, and automated tasks as you work. With Copilot you can focus on the creative and strategic elements of your projects while letting the AI handle the rest.
- Microsoft Copilot Chat (Web) – Available at no cost to staff by using the Microsoft Edge browser or by visiting the Microsoft Copilot Chat webpage; included in current Microsoft license. Approved for use with P1 and P2 data classifications.
- Microsoft 365 Copilot (Work) – Upgraded license that integrates seamlessly with the Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook). Approved for use with P1,P2, and P3 data.
Eligibility
All UCOP employees with a UCOP email address are eligible for Microsoft 365 Copilot with approval from their manager.
Ordering Information
To obtain a license for Microsoft Copilot M365;
- Verify with your manager that your department will cover the cost of a license for you.
- Submit a Software Request Form in Service-Now; include your COA.
- You may attach a spreadsheet if you are requesting licenses for multiple people.
Cost
Microsoft Copilot Chat is free to use and included with your UCOP Microsoft license. To access download and use the Microsoft Edge Web Browser or visit the Microsoft Copilot Chat website.
Microsoft 365 Copilot is charged as a yearly subscription. Please check the software request form for updated pricing. As mentioned above, requestors should seek approval from their manager before submitting a request.
