Service Description

Vendor management support building mutually beneficial relationships with vendors, achieving quality service at the lowest price and risk, and help resolve vendor issues that arise. 

Vendor management currently focuses on a few high-spend and high-risk ITS vendors and CENIC, UC’s primary backbone network service provider.

Vendor management includes the following services for in-scope vendors.

  •  Contract management: Managing the contract life cycle, including compliance, modifications, renewals, disputes, and terminations.
  • Performance monitoring: Using key vendor metrics and regular service reviews to ensure vendor service delivery fulfills contract obligations with expected results.
  • Acquisition: Partnering with Procurement to acquire vendor services that meet business and technical requirements and comply with UC’s contractual terms
  • Engagement: Using various methods to improve UC’s engagement with vendors, including clarification of roles, standardized processes, roadmaps, and other tools.
