Service Description

Storage. DigIT provides system storage via AWS EBS volumes, fileshare storage is provided via AWS FSx or via AWS EFS. Additional AWS storage in S3 is also an available solution depending on use case.

Data backup. DigIT uses Rubrik software to back up servers upon request. Departments should refer to University policy IS-3, Electronic Information Security, to determine whether data backup is necessary.

• DigIT retains backups for up to 30 days, per UCOP policy standard. Required backups that fall outside of this standard will be addresses on a case-by-case basis and subject to approvals.
