2015 Staff Engagement Survey Results

The Staff Engagement Survey is a joint effort developed by the CUCSA (Council of UC Staff Assemblies) and the UC Systemwide Human Resources.  It is aimed (a) to understand the current state of engagement of the UC workforce system-wide and how it differs according to key organizational segments and demographics; (b) determine what drives engagement at UC; (c) identify strengths to build on and opportunities to address, that is, be able to create a shortlist of actions to respond to these issues and improve employee engagement across the system; and (d) facilitate Involvement and communication with leaders and employees throughout the process.

The first Staff Engagement Survey was held in 2012.

The 2015 Staff Engagement Survey was conducted in Q2 of 2015. Below are the results, both for UC overall and UCOP in particular:

The OP Staff Assembly conducted two hour-long focus groups on October 6, 2015 to discuss the 2015 Staff Engagement Survey results (pdf). At the sessions, attendees were asked for feedback that helped the OP Staff Assembly rank the top opportunities to focus on in the coming months.
