How to Join PACSW
PACSW is seeking new members for its 2023-25 committee season. All non-represented, career employees are invited to join. PACSW is invested in the success of all women at UCOP. The charge to the committee is to advance an agenda to improve the climate and opportunities for women at UCOP.
It is an exciting time to join PACSW as the role of Employee Resource Groups (ERG) is evolving at UCOP. The work of PACSW is more important than ever with the elevation of voices and perspectives of the ERGs. Examples of PACSW’s work include The Caregivers Toolkit developed during the early days of the pandemic, the Women We Admire Speaker Series, and the rooftop garden on the Franklin Building 5th Floor patio. Through participation, PACSW members also become part of a dynamic, interesting, fun, and inclusive network of professionals across UCOP departments and at different stages along the career continuum.
Membership terms last two years and are renewable up to six years total. Members devote two to three hours each month to PACSW activities, including a monthly meeting. PACSW meetings alternate each month. In the months with Regent’s meetings (Jan-Mar-May-July-Sept-Nov) we meet on the fourth Wednesday from 12:10-1:00 p.m. Every other month (Feb-Apr-June-Aug-Oct-Dec) we meet from 10:40-11:30 a.m. on the third Wednesday of each month.
