Project Description

Kathryn aspires to augment the existing Forestry and Natural Resources Career Mentorship Program by developing and disseminating the “Carbon Sequestration and Forest Management” program, a science-based training focused on 1) climate impacts on forest health 2) wood products and carbon sequestration 3) large scale disturbances and climate feedback. The material presented will contain information on the proposed topic and provide additional training for students to engage with industry professionals and discuss these topics. Kathryn hopes to prepare student participants with the necessary tools to understand and contribute to statewide efforts towards carbon neutrality.
