Project Description

The Carbon Pricing and Carbon Neutrality Management Task Force will be organized in 2016-17 to advice UC President Janet Napolitano on the UC system's status and progress in achieving its carbon neutrality target by 2025. Comprising approximately seven to nine members with relevant experience in the managerial areas of sustainability operations, budgets and finance, and inresearch areas of carbon neutrality and organizational behavior, the task force will meet regularly to investigate a broad set of issues related to carbon neutrality management in support of the University's 2025 Carbon Neutrality goal. Melanie will serve as the Carbon Pricing Fellow, supporting the work of the task force in the following ways:

• Scheduling task force conference calls
• Task Force meeting notes
• Documenting and further researching barriers and potential solutions to achieving carbon neutrality by 2025
• Preparation of a written and graphic presentation of the Task Force's ideas.
