Research on Climate Communication
Description
Chelsea’s overall goal for her project is to study how people communicate and reason about environmental issues, especially issues related to lower carbon neutrality. Working in close collaboration with Professor Teenie Matlock, Director of the Center for Climate Communication, she will support UC’s Carbon Neutrality Initiative by developing innovative, information research-based communications strategies. She has a special interest in examining how the content and presentation of messages about climate change can affect behavior, including understanding of issues and willingness to adapt.
