Graduate Cost of Attendance Survey
The Graduate Cost of Attendance Survey (GCOAS) is used to better understand the financial needs of the UC graduate student body. Results of this survey are used by UC leadership to plan financial aid packages, as well as to evaluate graduate student stipends. Student Affairs and Institutional Research & Academic Planning at the Office of the President collaborate to produce this survey. Items on this survey assess monthly expenses of graduate students, housing arrangements, and family support. Using the survey data, UCOP Student Financial Support produce a comprehensive report that supports UC's financial aid decision-making activities.
