About People and Culture

Systemwide People & Culture leads the development of inclusion strategies and systemwide initiatives for all University of California staff across 10 campuses, 5 medical centers, and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Our work includes strengthening UC’s employer value proposition and fostering a positive, productive work environment for both policy-covered and represented staff.

We collaborate closely with university leadership—particularly our Executives, Vice Chancellors and CHROs—to align and integrate values-driven practices that enhance the employee experience. People & Culture also advises senior leaders on systemic issues related to inclusion, community building, and employee development. We engage staff in their shared responsibility to uphold UC’s values and create a thriving workplace for all.
