The Balcony Bill Professional Services Agreement (Balcony Bill PSA)
UC Design and Construction Services along with UC Legal has developed a contract for Balcony Bill related inspections as they may require a combination of professional services and construction work. The contract is a modified PSA with a work order for the construction (i.e. destructive testing) work along with the standard PSA Work Authorization for inspection that may not require any destructive testing. It can be modified to allow the consultant to subcontract that work or perform it themselves if they have that capability
The PSA can be used as a "Blanket Agreement" to contract with a consultant for a specific period of time. When a facility is ready to use the non-construction consultant's services, Exhibit A (Written Authorization to Perform Services) is executed . Exhibit A specifies the services to be performed, the compensation, and the time frame in which the services will be performed.
The Work Order (Exhibit F) is to be used only if construction services are required (e.g. destructive testing or any service requiring a CSLB license).
The following documents are approved by the Office of the President and UC Legal for use by the facility. Instructions and cover sheets contained in these documents are for the facility only and should be removed prior to distribution. Documents identified as "Core Documents" shall not be modified by the facility. Any revisions to these templates are made and issued by the Office of the President.
