Executive Sponsors support UCOP’s Employee Resource Groups by providing guidance, presence, and support for initiatives throughout the year and uplift their ERGs efforts where appropriate, through introductions and referrals. Through this, Executive Sponsors help advance UCOP’s EDI Mission, Vision and Goals in support of UCOP’s Principles of Community and Strategic Framework.

Executive Sponsors serve in the role for two-year terms. Executive Sponsors are also expected to hold one of the following positions at UCOP:

  • Executive or Senior Vice President;
  • Vice President or Vice Provost;
  • Associate Vice President, Associate Vice Provost, Deputy General Counsel;
  • Chief of Staff to a member of the President's Advisory Group.
