Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
Executive Sponsors support UCOP’s Employee Resource Groups by providing guidance, presence, and support for initiatives throughout the year and uplift their ERGs efforts where appropriate, through introductions and referrals. Through this, Executive Sponsors help advance UCOP’s EDI Mission, Vision and Goals in support of UCOP’s Principles of Community and Strategic Framework.
Executive Sponsors serve in the role for two-year terms. Executive Sponsors are also expected to hold one of the following positions at UCOP:
- Executive or Senior Vice President;
- Vice President or Vice Provost;
- Associate Vice President, Associate Vice Provost, Deputy General Counsel;
- Chief of Staff to a member of the President's Advisory Group.

Recruitment for new ERG Executive Sponsors will take place starting in winter of designated years.

Native American, Indigenous and Pacific Islander Staff Association Link

PACSW examines issues regarding the status of women at UCOP and analyzes existing policies, procedures, and programs that affect those issues.

UCOP Pride is dedicated to providing advocacy, education, and community building for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, genderqueer, and non-binary community, and its allies, within UCOP and beyond.

The Sustainability Employee Resource Group (SERG) serves to create and promote a culture of sustainability at UCOP locations and focuses on UC Sustainable Practices Policy issue areas.
Lakeside Speakeasy Toastmasters Club Link
The Lakeside Speakeasy Toastmasters Club is a professional and personal development focused club that provides communication and leadership training in a friendly and supportive environment.
Shakespeare Club Link
The UCOP Shakespeare Club meets intermittently during lunch to do a cold reading of a Shakespeare play – aspiring to boil down all swashbuckling and soliloquizing to one hour.

Veterans Among US (VAUS) is dedicated to serving and supporting not only our local and military communities but also the University of California and all its locations. All UCOP employees are welcome and encouraged to participate.
