Executive Sponsors

Executive Sponsors support UCOP’s Employee Resource Groups by providing guidance, presence, and support for initiatives throughout the year and uplift their ERGs efforts where appropriate, through introductions and referrals. Through this, Executive Sponsors help advance UCOP’s EDI Mission, Vision and Goals in support of UCOP’s Principles of Community and Strategic Framework.

Executive Sponsors serve in the role for two-year terms, and hold the position of Associate Vice President/Associate Vice Provost/Deputy General Counsel, or serve as Chief of Staff to a member of the President's Advisory Group. Guidelines on serving as an ERG Executive Sponsor can be found here.

Recruitment for new ERG Executive Sponsors will take place starting in winter of designated years.
