UC Online
Proposed Timeline
The GLN initiative is rolling out in phases to ensure lasting impact, starting with the foundation of infrastructure and collaboration, and scaling toward a truly systemwide model of foreign language instruction.
- Phase One: Build the foundation — adapt the “UC Online experience” (enrollment infrastructure, cross-campus communication, course approval, and credit agreements).
- Phase Two: Launch new online courses, expand enrollments, and strengthen sustainability.
- Phase Three: Scale language instruction across the UC system so online offerings support long-term systemwide goals.
