Experience

Mark Morodomi joined the Office of General Counsel as Principal Counsel, Governance in September 2013.  Prior to joining the office, Mr. Morodomi was Supervising Deputy City Attorney at the Oakland City Attorney's Office for thirteen years, including service as counsel to the Oakland Public Ethics Commission and Oakland City Auditor and special counsel to the San Francisco Ethics Commission.  Before that, he worked ten years for the State of California Fair Political Practices Commission, as the Chief of Enforcement (Acting) and Senior Counsel.

Mr. Morodomi's primary areas of practice for OGC includes the California Political Reform Act, Financial Conflict of Interest, California Constitution Article IX, Section 9, and other governance areas.  He also advises the Academic Senate on matters relating to faculty discipline and faculty grievances.


Education

Mr. Morodomi received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Stanford University, and his J.D. from New York University, School of Law.​
