George Choriatis joined the Office of Campus Counsel at the University of California, Irvine in 2016. He focuses on representing its School of Medicine and its clinical enterprise, including its academic health system, its community hospitals, its primary and specialty care offices across Orange County, and its federally qualified health center clinics. George’s primary areas of practice are healthcare business transactions, fraud and abuse compliance counseling, privacy and data security compliance counseling, and healthcare regulatory counseling. George has more than 20 years of experience structuring and negotiating complex healthcare transactions, including strategic transactions, acquisitions, and joint ventures. George previously was a partner at a major law firm in New York, NY, where he represented health systems, physician groups, and other healthcare industry clients on complex and innovative healthcare transactions.
