Experience

Elisabeth Yap joined the Office of the General Counsel in 2011.  She advises the University in areas including free speech, diversity, and sexual harassment.  Prior to joining the office, she worked at NBC Universal as Vice President, Litigation. She also served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Rights Bureau of the New York State Attorney General's Office, was a Skadden Fellow at the Education Law Center, and clerked for Judge Richard S. Arnold of the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.
