Chad Pimentel

Senior Counsel

Chad Pimentel is a Senior Counsel for Education Affairs and Governance at UCOP. Previously, he served as the General Counsel for the Alameda Unified School District, advising on matters involving education law, labor and employment law, student and employee free speech, and contract law. Before moving to California, Chad practiced in New York where he began his career as an associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell and later served as a Supervising Attorney for the New York City Department of Education. Chad has also taught legal writing at Columbia Law School and UC-Berkeley Law School.
