Experience
Brooke Anderson joined the Office of the General Counsel in 2022. As a member of the Construction Group, Brooke provides counsel on issues such as compliance with public works construction law and University competitive bidding rules, bid protests, delay and change order disputes with contractors and architects on ongoing projects, appropriate contract delivery methods, and warranty/defect claims. Brooke also works closely with UC’s Office of Design and Construction to refine template contracts, incorporate new law into existing contracts, and provide legal guidance and group trainings to campus teams responsible for construction, project contract administration, and facilities management.
Before joining the Office of the General Counsel, Brooke worked for 15 years as a litigator on complex commercial disputes specializing in construction law at two large national firms; as Counsel at Nixon Peabody, LLP and a Partner at Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, LLP.
