Allison Woodall

Deputy General Counsel - Education Affairs, Employment & Governance

Allison Woodall is Deputy General Counsel of the Education Affairs, Employment, and Governance section in the University of California’s Office of the General Counsel (“UC Legal”). Allison provides leadership to a diverse and experienced team of attorneys that support clients across UC’s ten campuses and five medical centers.  Allison and her team advise clients in a wide range of areas including admissions, free speech, student conduct, Title IX, conflict of interest, public records, employment and personnel issues, traditional labor matters, and employee benefits. 

Allison joined UC Legal in 2010 as Managing Counsel for Labor, Employment and Benefits, and became Deputy General Counsel in 2013.  Prior to joining UC Legal, Allison was a partner at Hanson, Bridgett, where she represented public and private sector employers in labor and employment matters. Allison graduated from the University of California, Berkeley (B.A., with high distinction, 1992) and the University of California, Berkeley School of Law (J.D., 1995).
