Experience
Alison Krumbein joined the Office of the General Counsel in 2018 as Senior Counsel in the land use group. She provides strategic advice and counsel on complex land use and California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) matters for the University and oversees a significant litigation portfolio of CEQA and land use-related cases in the trial and appellate courts.
Before joining the office, Ms. Krumbein practiced environmental and land use law with The Sohagi Law Group, PLC in Los Angeles and with the Land Use Group at Bingham McCutchen LLP in Walnut Creek, where she served as review editor of the 26th edition of Curtin's California Land Use and Planning Law. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Krumbein worked as a legislative aide for San Francisco Supervisor Barbara Kaufman.
