Finance and Administration

The UC Health Finance and Strategy department provides strategic and financial leadership to enhance the overall effectiveness of UC Health’s systemwide efforts. Led by the Associate Vice President, Finance and Strategy, the team partners closely with UC Health divisions, academic medical centers, and the UC Office of the President to advance financial and operational goals and develop innovative solutions to complex strategic challenges.

Key areas of Finance and Strategy include:

  • Develop and deliver key UC Health financial and operational reports
  • Lead the development and advancement of the UC Health systemwide strategic plan
  • Coordinate the Managed Care Contracting Collaborative and advance an integrated commercial payer strategy
  • Develop and implement systemwide Revue Cycle strategies
  • Coordinate with Systemwide Human Resources and UC Finance on health system-related compensation and benefits
  • Engage with the EVP, UC President, UC Regents and Health Service Committee External Advisors to advance the strategic goals of the health system through Board governance
  • Align the efforts across UC Health, UC Finance and Acadmic Affairs to support the student health and counseling centers at all ten campuses
  • Partner with the academic health centers and the UC Finance Office of Sustainability to advance systemwide sucstainability policy, efforts and commitments
