The Lakeside Speakeasy Toastmasters Club is a professional and personal development focused club that provides communication and leadership training in a friendly and supportive environment. Established in 1988, the Lakeside Speakeasy Toastmasters Club #2967 under Toastmasters District #57 is based in Oakland and meets on Zoom weekly on Thursdays from 12:05 p.m. – 12:55 p.m. It is a community club open to all and often includes several members from UCOP.

Join us virtually to build confidence in public speaking; sharpen your leadership abilities by learning how to facilitate meetings, enhance your listening skills, and provide constructive feedback; and practice thinking on your feet with impromptu speaking opportunities. If you’re interested in building your presentation skills, enhancing your presence and interactions in meetings, developing elevator-speech “sound bites” and/or practicing performance feedback, this is the group for you.
