Pre-Travel Medical Exams and Consultation for UC Researchers & Instructors: If you are planning a research project and are unsure what medical services are available on your campus, please contact your Medical Director, University Health Center or EH&S office for guidance.

  • International Travel Clinics:
    • Provide pre-trip immunizations and medical counseling specific to your destination.
    • Researchers should make an appointment at least 8 weeks prior to travel.
    • Typically fee for service.
  • Occupational Health Clinics:
    • Provide work-related exams including medical clearance for respirators, Tb tests and immunizations or medication for specific work-related hazards (e.g. handling bats, working at altitude, scientific diving, NSF Antarctica projects).
    • Employees should make an appointment at least 8 weeks prior to travel.
