Innovation Transfer Operations

Projects & Metrics involves systemwide reporting, equity administration and related initiatives. Metrics on UC technology commercialization are compiled and reported annually to the Regents, publicly provided in the UC Inventions at a Glance dashboard, and submitted as survey information to the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM). The group also services data requests from various internal and external constituents. Much of this reporting is dependent on information aggregated in the ITE Patent Tracking System database and related data gathered by ITE.

This group coordinates with UC Investments on the registration of equity received from licensing UC intellectual property, and from the use of UC facilities and services. Additionally, it supports strategic initiatives for both internal and external clientele of UC technology commercialization to ensure continued support for the mission and activities of the program. These projects highlight UC’s research, economic, and workforce impact, both within the state and beyond.
