About HR Compliance

The HR Compliance systemwide unit works with UC locations to ensure compliance with appropriate employment laws, regulations and HR policies. Policies monitored include staff personnel policies, Collective Bargaining Agreements, the Group Insurance Regulations for the health and welfare benefit plans, and, in coordination with the Retirement Administration Service Center, the University of California Retirement Plan Regulations.

To ensure effective compliance efforts, HR Compliance works closely with the Office of Ethics, Compliance and Audit Services, Office of General Counsel and with the Chief Human Resource Officers (CHRO) Compliance Committee.

The majority of the staff in the HR Compliance unit are Certified Compliance and Ethics Professionals (CCEP’s).
