Kristal will focus on community outreach and education, specifically:

Educating the public through written, visual and online communications about nutrition policy, food security, federal food programs, food waste, childhood obesity prevention and other nutrition and food policy issues.
Educating the public through written, visual and online communications about UC Agriculture & Natural Resources' and the Nutrition Policy Institute's impact on the above issues.
Developing communication plans and outreach implementation plans.
