Nicole Carlotto

Deputy Director

Nicole Carlotto is the Deputy Director for the University of California Office of Federal Governmental Relations (UC FGR). She assumed the role in April 2025 after serving as UC FGR's Director of Communications and Advocacy, where she led strategic advocacy and communications efforts to advance the University's federal priorities. Before joining UC FGR in September 2015, Nicole worked at the George Washington University (GW) as a media relations associate, coordinating faculty media outreach and supporting the launch of the George Washington University Museum and The Textile Museum. She also previously served as a press assistant for former U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer. A California native, Nicole received a bachelor’s degree in sociology from UC Berkeley and a master’s degree in strategic public relations from GW.
