Each year, UC participates in numerous advocacy-related events. Below is information about select events.
Humanities Advocacy Day
Each year, UC joins with advocates from across 40 states on Capitol Hill to advocate for important funding for the National Endowment for the Humanities, as well as other humanities-related programs.
CARET Advocacy Days Link
UC Agriculture and Natural Resources along with campus and industry representatives join with members of APLU's Council for Agricultural Research, Extension and Teaching (CARET) for the annual Capitol Hill advocacy days. Representatives meet with members and staff to communicate the importance of federal agricultural research programs to UC and the California economy.
Rally for Medical Research
Each September, UC joins with national organizations to call on policymakers to make funding for the National Institutes of Health a priority and raise awareness about continued investment in medical research.
Coalition for National Science Funding (CNSF) Day
Each year, UC participates in a day of Capitol Hill advocacy around the importance of National Science Foundation (NSF) funding, as well as the CNSF exhibition and reception, which showcases research made possible by the NSF.
