Turn Captions On by Default in Storyline

Turning captions on by default ensures that learners who have hearing disabilities will, by default, have access to all audio information.
To toggle captions on by default in Storyline, start by opening the Variables panel. Open the Built-in tab, scroll down to the Player.DisplayCaptions variable and toggle its default value to True.
Even if captions are toggled on by default, it's still recommended you include the captions toggle in the player controls and inform learners of the Ctrl + Alt + C keyboard shortcut for toggling captions off/on. Some learners, including those who have certain cognitive disabilities, may find captions distracting and wish to be able to turn them off.
