Accessibility language for PDFs/webpages

If you are unable to access this content due to a disability, please email name@campus.edu for assistance.

Best Practices:

  • Providing an accessibility contact is not a substitute for ongoing accessibility remediation responsibilities.
  • Place the accessibility language atop the PDF/webpage for greater visibility.
  • Ensure email is consistently monitored. Consider a generic email address monitored by a group of individuals. If the email address is monitored by a single individual, ensure coverage when that individual is out of the office or if the individual separates from the University.
  • Respond to remediation requests or other requests for assistance in a timely manner. Responsiveness and proactive updates are often effective at preventing the escalation of a request to a complaint or lawsuit.
  • Contact your location's ADA Coordinator with any questions regarding accessibility requests.
