We are thrilled to announce our partnership with the University of California Alianza MX and the University of California Office of the President for the upcoming University of California Chicanx Latinx Alumni Association (UC CLAA) Summit to be hosted at the Casa de la Universidad de California in México City!

This summit provides a unique opportunity to connect with Chicanx Latinx alumni from all ten UC campuses; stay updated on the latest alumni and UC developments in areas such as binational entrepreneurship, climate change, health equity, and alumni engagement; and explore opportunities for new or expanded binational collaborations!

During this two-and-a-half-day summit, you will have the opportunity to attend insightful research talks, participate in engaging discussions, and foster a sense of community with fellow UC alumni from across the country and in Mexico. Whether you're a recent graduate or a seasoned professional, the UC CLAA Summit at Casa in México City offers a meaningful chance to reconnect with your alma mater and the thriving binational community of UC Chicanx Latinx alumni.

This summit holds special significance as we also celebrate the 20-year anniversary of UC Alianza MX and 6 years of UC CLAA!

The summit aims to achieve the following objectives:

  • Raise awareness about the University of California's binational efforts led by UC Alianza MX.
  • Highlight the research and work of UC Chicanx Latinx alumni leading initiatives in binational entrepreneurship, climate change, health equity, and education.
  • Create a recurring and meaningful opportunity for alumni to engage with the UC.
  • Create opportunities for binational collaborations in any of the areas noted above or other venues.
  • Establish networks for future endeavors   
  • Foster connections among alumni across the UC system through professional opportunities and social events.

What meals are included in the registration fee?

The Summit will be providing light refreshments at the reception on Wednesday, October 4. Light breakfast and lunch on Thursday and Friday. Dinner is on your own for all three nights.
