Program responsible for loss prevention and management of medical/dental malpractice claims and lawsuits that occur at university healthcare facilities.
General liability
Covers university employees for certain liability claims which arise out of university operations.
Automobile program
Provides Automobile Liability coverage for University personnel in the course and scope of their employment and Automobile Physical Damage for vehicles owned, leased and operated by the University.
Employment practices liability
Provided for university employees for alleged wrongful employment related acts that occur while the employee is in the course and scope of their employment or project.
Property & Other Insurance
Protects university assets through restoration of property loss/damage, risk analysis, control and prevention.
Construction liability & insurance
There are insurances specifically designed for construction risks and Office of the President, Risk Services, is responsible for procuring these insurances.
Foreign liability insurance
The Office of Risk Services has arranged foreign liability insurance for the university’s operations outside the USA.
UC Student Health Insurance Plan (UC SHIP)
A systemwide insurance plan providing excellent health care benefits for all enrolled students.
Certificates of insurance and insurance limits
Agreements and contracts which the university enters into generally require insurance limits and evidence of the insurance via certificates of insurance.
