UC Recognition: CPHE Focus on Efficiency Awards
During the 2016 California Public Higher Education Collaborative Business Conference (CPHE), UC San Diego’s Integrated Procure-to-Pay Solutions (IPPS) and the Facilities and Maintenance COE team received Focus on Efficiency Awards. The award recognizes innovative practices that have been implemented to improve operational performance, services, and outcomes for higher education. The three awards were received for:
- MyPayments: San Diego’s IPPS received an award for the development of MyPayments, which is used for managing payment requests across campus. The technical design allows for future scalability and streamlined usage, which alleviates some administrative burdens for campus.
- Business and Financial Services (BFS) Analytics: San Diego’s IPPS Analytics team was honored for developing shared operational dashboards using Tableau, which are now available for all BFS divisions.
- Strategic Sourcing with Waxie: UC Procurement Services, Oakland, received an award for scaling and implementing the first ever California Higher Education Strategic Sourcing contract with Waxie. The facilities and maintenance team created multiple mechanisms and tools for CSU and Community colleges to save up to 40% on Janitorial Supplies with Waxie thanks to aligning business requirements.
