Seismic hazard mitigation
All freestanding partitions, bookcases, shelving, and cabinets six feet (6’) or taller must be braced or anchored to prevent them from tipping over in a large earthquake.

For your own safety, maintain a seismically safe work area:·
- Place large or heavy objects on lower shelves.
- Store breakables on lower shelves or inside closed cabinets.
- Keep overhead cabinets closed and latched.
- Do not place heavy artwork or other heavy objects above your desk.
