2014-15 Request for Proposals
MRPIs are multicampus or systemwide research collaborations that go beyond individual PI-driven projects to benefit the UC research enterprise, strengthen UC’s position as a leading public research university, launch pioneering research in thematic, multidisciplinary or inter-disciplinary areas, and benefit California and its people.
The competition is open to members of the UC research community in all fields of research and scholarship. Applicants will have an opportunity to indicate which disciplines or interdisciplinary or thematic areas best describe the proposed collaboration. Applicants must demonstrate how the proposed activities meet MRPI program goals to advance outstanding research and cutting edge discoveries, impact the lives of Californians, increase UC’s competitiveness, inform public policy, and support innovative graduate student research. The award start date is January 1, 2015.
