Desktop Search Tool for Windows

Description
You can use the Windows Search Tool to quickly locate e-mail messages and attachments, business documents, media files, and many other file types located on PCs.

How to Get the Search Tool
The Search Tool should be pre-installed on most UCOP PCs and appears near the clock at the bottom right corner of the screen on the Windows Taskbar as shown in the box outlined in red below.

If you do not see the Search Desktop field, it may need to be enabled for viewing.

• Right click on any empty area on Windows taskbar at the bottom of the screen.
• Click on Toolbars and then Windows Search Deskbar, as shown in the graphic below. If there is no check mark next to Windows Search Deskbar, click on Windows Search Deskbar to enable it.
