Online Web Services and Benefits Systems

The AYSO team designs, implements, and supports the user interface of At Your Service Online (AYSO), the self-service application that employees, retirees, and inactive members of the UC Retirement Plan use to view payroll statements, calculate retirement estimates, select benefits options, update personal information, and perform other functions. An average of 189,000 people sign into AYSO each month in order to use its various applications.

The unit also designs, implements, and supports approximately one hundred backend systems and processes that support Human Resources and Benefits activities, including the department’s customer help desk, which responds to inquiries about benefits from employees and retirees.


  • Maintain, operate, and update AYSO and related HR&B systems
  • Implement open enrollment changes, such as medical plan carrier changes
  • Coordinate changes with the Payroll/Personnel System and UC Retirement System for consistency
