Service Email Account

Service Description
An email service account is a shared email account that can be accessed by multiple people at the same time. For example, ServiceDesk@ucop.edu is a shared email account that is accessed by the IT Service Desk staff, who can all view and manage the email. Sometimes, email service accounts are set up to provide an account for email without using an individual’s name, such as ProvideFeedback@ucop.edu or webmaster@ucop.edu.

Use the IT Service Hub to request an email service account.

How to Request Support
Support is available M – F, 6:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Request support through the IT Service Hub or by contacting the IT Service Desk.

Eligibility
All UCOP staff, contractors, and other associated personnel with email accounts may request email service accounts.

Availability
24/7, except during planned outages

Cost
Departments pay a monthly technology infrastructure fee (TIF) per individual to cover a standard computing bundle, office phone, voicemail, and email access, including email service accounts.
