Scheduled Outage for Dept. File Shares

On June 22, June 29, and July 6, starting at 9:00 p.m. and concluding at 9:00 a.m. the following day, ITS will migrate department networked file shares to new servers with greater capacity and improved backup. During these timeframes, you will not have access to department file shares. Personal or individual file shares will not be impacted.

The outages have been scheduled for weekend evenings to cause as little disruption as possible. However, if you need to access file shares during that time, you may wish to temporarily move copies of files to another location, such as a SharePoint site.

After the migration you will not notice any changes. All file shares will have the same names as before and all shortcuts to the file shares will be available. If you have any problems connecting to a file share the next business day, please try restarting your computer.
