Dept. File Share Outage This Weekend

ITS will continue to migrate department file shares to a new server this weekend. The first migration, announced September 16, was successfully completed last weekend.
The second migration will occur Friday, September 27, at 9:00 p.m. through Saturday, September 28, at 9:00 p.m. During that time, you will not have access to some department file shares. Personal or individual file shares will not be impacted. If you will need to access department file shares, you may wish to temporarily move copies of the files to another location, such as a SharePoint site. This migration will take longer than the previous one because of the much larger number of files to migrate.
After the migration, you will not notice any changes. All file shares will have the same names as before and all shortcuts to the file shares will be available. If you have any problems connecting to a file share on Monday, please try restarting your computer. If you continue to have problems, please contact the IT Service Desk at 987-0457 or ServiceDesk@ucop.edu. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience you may experience.
