PROJECT

Urban Food Disparities

DESCRIPTION

Food deserts and fast food chains targeting low-income school districts have caused a crisis of overfed, undernourished children in America. Elizabeth’s work as a research fellow for this project will allow further understanding of these disparities as well as help contribute to viable solutions. Farmers markets, food forests, urban agriculture and community gardens are spaces of representation, lived spaces where a community’s culture can thrive.
