PROJECT

Support for Food Studies Minor

DESCRIPTION

Megan will assist instructors who are planning/teaching new and existing courses in various fields that contribute to the recently established food studies minor at UCLA. The assistance includes compiling bibliographies and information for course proposals, helping to establish course websites, proposing and looking into the logistics of student participation in relevant extracurricular activities, and perhaps even offering invited presentations to classes on particular topics pertaining to the given course and food studies. Additionally, Megan is writing her senior thesis on gluttony and temperance in medieval English literature. More broadly, her thesis will explore the intersections of food studies and the humanities.
