Experiential Learning and Student Engagement Fellowship

Description

She will be involved in a project on experiential learning opportunities in food systems within the UC system, and also will have a key role in facilitating UC Berkeley student engagement with the UC Global Food Initiative. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the UC GFI’s Experiential Learning subcommittee to finalize a report on experiential learning related to food and agriculture in the UC system;
  • Working on a proposal to expand student experiential learning opportunities in agroecology and food justice at UC Berkeley, particularly at the campus field stations and in partnership with community-based nonprofit organizations;
  • Assisting in organizing UC Berkeley participation in a conference on experiential learning programs in food and agriculture in the UC system, in collaboration with subcommittee members; and
  • Managing the Food Systems Student Opportunities Newsletter, administered through the Berkeley Food Institute.
