Literary and Cultural History of Food

Description

Her dissertation research examines the literary and cultural history of taste, digestion and related concerns in late 18th- through early 19th century England. This project will serve to support the development of a new humanities course for the forthcoming Food Studies Graduate Certificate Program at UCLA. The scope of work will include research to identify and compile digital primary sources related to each of the course’s planned thematic units; annotation of secondary sources to support the development of lectures and a related book project entitled "Literature and Food Studies"; and collaboration mentor on the design and generation of materials for planned student writing and collaborative assignments.
