Food Access and Security Fellowship  

DESCRIPTION
Emily will have two primary responsibilities, including:

  1. UC Berkeley: Co-author the first-ever UC Berkeley Food Access and Security Report that will include framing language about food access and security, timeline of food access and security efforts at UC Berkeley, and impact analysis of: (i) Financial Aid and Scholarships Office Food Assistance Program, (ii) University Village Bear Pantry, and (iii) the UC Berkeley Food Pantry.
  2. UC Global Food Initiative Food Access and Security Subcommittee:  Actively participate in UC GFI Food Access and Security Subcommittee meetings, which involve collaboration with other UC campus participants. Assist with planning, documentation and report on progress of the subcommittee, as well as be actively involved in systemwide efforts impacting increased understanding of financial wellness and food security, institutional and systemwide policies that impact campus food systems and student food security, and provide assistance with macro data collection of food security resources for subcommittee partner, the UC Nutrition Policy Institute.
