Office of General Counsel
Before joining the Labor and Employment Group in the Office of General Counsel, Stephanie Leider served as in-house counsel for Loyola University of Chicago, where she was responsible for employment, student, academic, and litigation matters.
Ms. Leider previously represented The Regents of the University of California and other higher education clients in employment litigation as Of Counsel for the Oakland office of Fisher & Phillips LLP (1999-2006). She began her legal career in Chicago, where she was an associate and then partner at Butler Rubin Saltarelli & Boyd before co-founding Babbitt, Melton & Leider, a law firm dedicated to the representation of colleges and universities. Ms. Leider graduated from Smith College (A.B., cum laude, 1983) and the University of Chicago Law School (J.D., 1987).
